Recently, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) presented its original Beijing Opera-style song Sheng Shi Dong Fang (Prosperous Orient) at the national Gathering Online Positive Energy of Workers thematic event in Shanghai, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
Performed by faculty and student representatives, the song stood out for its innovative fusion of traditional opera and modern music. The passionate delivery showcased the dynamic spirit of educators in the new era, earning warm applause from the audience.
Created to mark the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, this work aims to strengthen patriotism and promote traditional Chinese culture. It has previously been recognized as a Gold Song among national trade union system's online positive energy songs.
