On May 17th, 2025, the 7th Shanghai University Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition, hosted by the Chinese Chemical Engineering Education Association and the Shanghai Chemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Society, was successfully held at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST).
The competition brought together over 80 participants from 28 teams across 9 Shanghai universities. It featured two core segments: a theoretical assessment and an experimental operation, designed to test students' comprehensive application abilities.
ECUST teams demonstrated strong performance, securing the top three places overall. A total of 5 teams, including those from ECUST, were awarded the top prize (特等奖), with another 13 teams receiving first prizes.
As a flagship event in Shanghai's chemical engineering education, the competition adheres to the principle of promoting teaching, learning, and development through competition. It aims to enhance students' professional skills and teamwork, foster exchange among universities, and cultivate talent suited for the industry's green and intelligent transformation.
