On the afternoon of March 31st, the School of Chemical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) held a collaboration meeting with Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (Donghua Technology). The meeting, attended by leadership and representatives from both sides, focused on deepening industry-academia-research integration and talent development.
Both parties reviewed their longstanding partnership, which has included the joint training of over 40 engineering master's and doctoral students. Discussions centered on aligning the university's research strengths in chemical engineering with the company's Three Vertical & Three Horizontal corporate strategy to accelerate technology transfer and tackle industry challenges.
Key areas for future cooperation were identified, including collaborative R&D projects, scaling up the joint graduate program, and enhancing the practical engineering experience for young faculty. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to establish a long-term mechanism for cooperation, aiming to contribute to the high-quality development of China's chemical industry.
