Two faculty members from the School of Chemical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) have been awarded the highest prize (Special Award) at the 3rd National Teaching Competence Competition for Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Teachers.
The competition's final round was held at Beijing University of Chemical Technology from July 18 to 20, 2025. Associate Professor Cheng Hongye won the Special Award in the Associate Professor category, and Lecturer Sun Hao won the Special Award in the Lecturer category.
The event attracted nearly one hundred participants from 59 universities across China. The outstanding performance of the two teachers highlights the school's commitment to educational innovation and teaching excellence. The school is actively exploring new teaching models, including the integration of AI technology into the chemical engineering curriculum.
