The First "Future Chemical Engineering Frontiers Forum" Held at ECUST

The inaugural Future Chemical Engineering Frontiers Forum, hosted by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), took place at the Shanghai Lingang Center on November 29, 2025. Guided by the Shanghai Lingang New Area Administrative Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the forum brought together over 20 academicians and more than 300 experts.

The event focused on serving national strategic needs and fostering green, low-carbon innovation. Key highlights included the establishment of an international expert think tank for the Shanghai Green Fuel Innovation Port and the release of the groundbreaking BESTm technology for converting biogas to green methanol.


Over 40 renowned experts, including academicians from China and abroad, delivered reports and participated in in-depth discussions on green fuel synthesis, carbon-neutral pathways, and the future of chemical engineering.
