The 2025 Shanghai College Student Chemical Engineering Design Competition Year-End Conference concluded at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) on November 30.
University leaders, competition committee members, representatives from ten participating Shanghai universities, and industry partners attended. Professor Zhu Xuedong, Director of the ECUST Academic Affairs Office, welcomed attendees and presented a sponsor certificate to BASF (China) Co., Ltd.
The conference featured a summary report on the 2025 competition, co-hosted by Shanghai University of Engineering Science and ECUST. It saw increased participation, with 67 teams from 10 universities submitting entries.
Discussions focused on improving competition quality, optimizing judging, and ing project commercialization. The committee emphasized plans to enhance the event's role as a practical training platform for innovative talent.
It was announced that the 17th edition of the competition in 2026 will be organized by Shanghai University of Electric Power.
